Finance Assistant - The Southfield Trust
The Southfield Trust is embarking on a new venture and we are offering exciting opportunities across our excellent special school multi-academy Trust. The Trust currently has three schools, located across five, distinct school sites. We are expanding that provision to include a new, purpose built special school, Summerdown School. All of our schools are based in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Opening Summerdown School will create a wide range of interesting and motivating posts across every school in The Southfield Trust.
We are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to work within the Trust’s central finance team to support in all aspects of processing, during the transition period to becoming a four school multi-academy Trust. The position is a part term, fixed-term role until 21st July 2023, with the possibility of a moving to a permanent role.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Great customer service skills
- A basic knowledge of bookkeeping processes
- Strong organisation and analytical skills
- Willingness to work well as part of a team
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Be positive, energetic and adaptable to the changing needs of the schools
The paid hours of work are 20 hours per week (part-time hours), term-time only.
The salary range is from £20,043 (Single Status Grade 5.12) to £20,443 (Single Status Grade 5.13). As the position is part-time, term-time only, the pro rata salary will be £9,584.
