Headteacher, Brede Primary School, East Sussex

Salary: Group 1 - (L8 - L15) - £50,151- £59,581  – subject to national consultation on teachers’ pay.

The Board of Governors seeks to appoint a new headteacher for Term 5 April 2023.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to lead Brede Primary School in its next stage of development, following our successful Ofsted inspection February 2022.

Will you be the Headteacher to lead us? 

We are looking for an experienced, empathetic senior leader or headteacher who can offer us proven leadership skills, ambition, creative drive and strategic vision to build on the school’s many existing strengths.

Brede Primary is a local authority, small rural village school with 110 children aged 4-11 and an OFSTED rating of good (February 2022). Safeguarding and safer working procedures are of the utmost importance and embedded across the school.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
