Hours of work: 30 hours per week
Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 5.85 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

Northiam Primary School are looking to appoint a TA3 to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of pupils at Northiam School. We would especially welcome applications from TAs with experience working in KS2 settings. Previous experience of promoting learning and development in a primary school is preferred but training can be provided to the right candidate.

The successful applicant will be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate excellent professional skills as well as high expectations for the children. Ideally you will have experience of providing class cover and intervention/booster group learning. You will be working with children with complex medical needs, as such a large proportion of this role will involve you leading the schools Nurture provision which is focused on outdoor learning and our farm school.

GSCE grade (A-C) or equivalent in English and Maths are essential.

An additional 4.5 hours is required on top of this contract to cover 2 hours over 2 days for breakfast club and 2.5 hours over 5 days for lunch cover, these roles are payable under grade 1, scale point 2 - £18,333 pro rata.
