Hours of work: 22.5 (3 hrs per day as INA + 1.5 hrs per day as MDSA) per week
Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 5.85 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
(As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)
Fixed term until August 2023 in the first instance

The successful applicant will be working 1:1 with a student with SEN needs who requires additional support to make the highest levels of progress both academically and socially.
You will need to be able to support the student and build a good relationship with them to help promote development and growth within their education. You will work alongside the class teacher to prepare and plan lessons for your pupil and identify ways in which you can present this within their best interest for development. You will support the allocated pupil both inside and outside of the classroom as well as accompanying them on educational visits. You will ensure that the pupil understands all verbal and written instructions and is staying on track with tasks and will also help to facilitate inclusion and enable them to integrate with their peers.
You will have strong communication skills and be able to quickly build a good rapport with pupils. You will be a team player as you will be working closely with the classroom teacher and the pupil's parents/carers. You will be highly organised, creative and adaptive, being able to think on your feet to enable the pupil to overcome any barriers to learning.
Please note that the successful candidates will also be required to take on a lunchtime supervisor or play leader role/s (MDSA) at additional remuneration.
