We looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and committed SENCO Assistant to join our dedicated team, to support us in the delivery of our commitment to provide high-quality education to all of our pupils.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the SENCO in leading the provision for SEN within school 
  • Managing the appropriate resources for Special Needs and Learning Support whilst ensuring that they are used efficiently, effectively and safely
  • Supporting the SENCO in managing the implementation of an inclusive curriculum

You will have:

  • Experience of supporting children with SEND in a classroom environment
  • Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice
  • Experience of using Information Technology to support pupils in the classroom
  • Knowledge of strategies to recognise and reward efforts and achievements, that are appropriate to the age and development stage of the pupils
  • A good standard of education, including English and Maths
  • NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent

Silverdale Primary Academy is a school for 4 to 11-year olds in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. We are a local centre of excellence for the Thrive approach and focus our school life around key learning behaviours characterised by our learning ninjas!
