We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Customer Relations Advisor within the Client Liaison Team. The Client Liaison Team is the first point of contact for all Academies and external customers who buy into East Sussex County Council payroll; our team support these organisations with their transactional HR and payroll administration. As well as this we maintain the electronic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) system covering all related queries, here we encounter both external customers and colleagues across the entire authority. 

We are looking for someone who has excellent customer service skills and can prioritise a busy workload. Exceptional attention to detail and a drive for problem solving is required.  You will be proficient in maths and IT and be able to communicate with customers in sometimes challenging circumstances using various mediums; tact and sensitivity are key, along with a broad knowledge of HR. Analysing reports and troubleshooting also forms a large part of this role, so being highly organised and creative with solutions is necessary. 

You will be required to deliver training for various systems and procedures to colleagues both within the Council and to our external customers; this could include SAP, Oracle Cloud and our DBS Platform, so a knowledge of these systems would be useful, but not essential, as training will be provided.

Our team works in a hybrid style and mixes office attendance with working from home.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
