Hankham Primary School is a delightful, traditional village school located in Pevensey, East Sussex. We have a close-knit and supportive staffing team, and we cater for up to 150 pupils.
We have an exciting opportunity for a fixed-term Administrative Support Assistant to join our busy and vibrant school as part of our office team from 1st October 2022. This will be to cover a period of maternity leave, initially for 9 months but possibly extending to 12 months.
We are looking for a self motivated individual with strong computer skills, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You will need to be friendly and approachable, able to communicate well with pupils, parents and other professionals who visit the school. You will be the primary contact for incoming telephone calls and emails.
You will need to be accurate with a keen eye for details as you will be responsible for maintaining the pupil information database (SIMS) and recording attendance. You will also be the primary first aider for pupils, and responsible for ensuring the first aid supplies are kept stocked.
Previous experience of working in a school, or being a first aider would be an advantage, but full training will be given.
