SEN Administrator  - New Horizons School

  • Permanent – Term Time Only
  • 7-8 hrs hours per week
  • 40 weeks worked and 45.80 weeks paid per year
  • SS Grade 5, SSP12-13 (FTE £20,043- £20,443)
  • Pro-rata starting salary from £3,345 per annum

New Horizons School, as part of the SABDEN Multi Academy Trust, is an ‘Outstanding’ SEMH Special school and we are seeking to appoint a Sen Administrator to join our very experienced Admin Team. We are passionate about creating a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters respect for others, develops resilience, promotes high expectations and prepares our pupils for successful futures.

As the SEN Administrator, will need to provide an effective and efficient administrative support to the SENCo. You will be responsible for updating SEN documentation, such as annual reviews, ensuring pupil’s SEN records are kept up to date, and all the necessary documentation is received from the pupils referring school. You will be liaising with external agencies and parents/carers, booking in meetings for the SENCo, therefore, the ideal candidate will need good interpersonal skills, strong communication and IT skills. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with administration systems and some SEN/Education knowledge or experience.

If successful, you will become part of a very committed and hardworking team. While some experience of working within a school is preferable, it is not essential.  We will provide you with high quality training and support.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
