Hours: 30 hours - working on a split shift basis, opening and closing the school: 7.15am-9.15am and 2.15pm-6.15pm.

Wallands is a two form entry school in Lewes, only a short train ride from Eastbourne and Brighton. Wallands is set in a beautiful part of East Sussex, on the edge of the South Downs National Park, with wonderful grounds. Currently on roll there are approximately 290 pupils including Nursery and children in our Speech and Language facility. Our pupils are delightful, behave well and are excited about their learning.
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and approachable Caretaker to join Wallands. The role of Caretaker is key to the smooth running of our school and we are looking for a proactive and flexible person to be responsible for security, safety, cleanliness and general maintenance of our school site. We are looking for someone with a range of practical and DIY skills, who shows attention to detail. This is a hands on role, however there is a small element of of IT work required, so IT skills would be advantageous however training will be offered. The role is for 30 hours a week (5 days a week in term time), however there is flexibility in the school holidays.
With an excellent environment, supportive and caring staff and governors, an experienced senior team and well behaved children, this post is an exciting opportunity.
