Nursery Practitioner

Hours of work:  37 hours per week
Working pattern: Full-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 5.85 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
(As the position is term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018. 

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

Due to our successful and oversubscribed Nursery expanding, we are looking for an experienced Nursery Assistant to join our Early Years Team.

The successful candidate will:

- Have excellent interpersonal skills.

- Be an articulate team player, willing to work effectively as part of a team but also able to work using their own initiative.

- Have the ability to communicate professionally to key stakeholders both orally and in writing.

- Creative and dynamic, able to plan activities that inspire and engage children.

- Have good organisational, planning and follow through skills.

- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentially.

- Motivated and dedicated to supporting children to develop holistically.

- Be highly motivated and keen to learn.

- An excellent understanding of the EYFS and 'Development Matters'.

- Relevant Early Years experience and evidence of highly effective impact on child development.

- An excellent working knowledge of effective Safeguarding practice.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours a day, with 30 minutes unpaid daily lunch break, Term Time Only.

You will be part of the wider school team at All Saints C.E. Primary School and will benefit from a range of training and development opportunities. You will be working closely with the Nursery Teacher and the EYFS lead to ensure a safe, stimulating and caring environment. Visits to the school are encouraged and will take place between 0930 and 1100 by appointment through the school office (01424 219083)
