Support With Confidence is East Sussex County Council's accreditation scheme, approving care and support providers, many of whom are personal assistants and micro providers currently operating in the unregulated sector of the market.

The Scheme Support Assistant role provides administration support and assistance to the Support With Confidence Scheme. Leading on the administration of scheme applications and yearly membership renewals.

You will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the scheme, these include completing background checking, making DBS applications, interview and meeting scheduling, and seeking references. As well as being responsible for processing scheme payments and budget recording

You will be the first point of contact for the scheme, providing advice and guidance to both internal and external customers. You will need to be a good communicator, responding to enquiries by email, in writing, via the telephone and in person as appropriate.

You will also be assisting with other administration tasks as and when necessary, such as collating and recording data, updating scheme documents and processes, minute taking and various others tasks required by the scheme manager

For this role you will need to have excellent customer services skills, be able to organise and prioritise your work to meet deadlines, have a good eye for detail and accuracy, be competent with IT systems including Microsoft Office and work well within a team as well as under your own initiative.

This role is open to candidates wishing to apply via the apprenticeship or vocational training route. If recruited via the Apprenticeship process: Business administrator / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education - there will be vocational training as part of the role which will result in a professional qualification

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
