Hours of work: 12.5 hours per week 
Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 40 weeks per year plus 5.8 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
(As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations. 

 

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.

We are seeking to recruit an Administrative Support Assistant to join our staff team from September 2022.

The successful applicant will take lead responsibility for administrative tasks related to our nursery and wraparound care. The post holder will also provide general office cover when required.

This post includes a level of financial responsibility and a level 3 qualification in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification is desirable.

The exact working pattern is to be confirmed, but the core hours will be 12.5 each week, to be worked over five days during term time. Our administrative staff also work an equivalent of one working week each year during school holidays.

The successful applicant will have knowledge of a range of administrative duties, an organised approach to record keeping and experience of team working. Familiarity with computer applications and strong communication skills are of particular importance.

Previous experience of working in an educational environment in a role with financial responsibilities will be very beneficial. Knowledge of nursery and extended schools administration and finance will be considered advantageous.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant First Aid qualification or be willing to undertake training.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
