Teaching Assistant - Oakwood Primary Academy
We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and inspirational Teaching Assistants to join our school, who have experience of working with children and supporting their learning within the classroom, as well as providing supervision for group work and working with children on a one to one basis. We are seeking candidates who may have an interest in supporting pupils with special educational needs. We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant who can work flexibly across all year groups within the primary age range, according to the needs of our school.
Oakwood Primary Academy is a two-form entry primary school in Eastbourne, for pupils aged 4-11 with over 300 pupils on roll. The majority of our pupils come from the local community – a community we are proud to serve. We are a school that is undergoing a transformation and is committed to raising standards for all our pupils. - To have a positive approach with natural enthusiasm working with children,
- To have an ability to enable all children, as individuals, to thrive in your care,
- To be flexible and adaptable – you may be required to support a group of children under the direction of the Teacher/SENCO, but also help to provide support on an individual basis to a child to support the needs of the child and the school
- Have effective oral and written communication skills, with good IT skills,
- Possess a commitment to helping children do their best.
