Health and Social Care Connect (HSCC) is the point of access into adult community health and social care services in East Sussex. The service provides residents with information and advice and manages professional referrals into community health and social care services.
HSCC is a fast-paced office based environment and you will need to be a good team player, well organised, and be able to work well under pressure. You will have a confident telephone manner, good attention to detail and excellent written communication skills. You will also have good IT skills. Our ideal candidate will enjoy working on a range of tasks and meeting the challenge of tight deadlines. Please tell us about your experience in your application.
You will be managing calls and enquiries from members of the public, clients and carers, gathering further information when necessary. The role involves providing information, advice and signposting. You will also send referrals on to the appropriate services to ensure that the client receives the care and support they need as soon as possible. Previous health or social experience is not essential as we provide a comprehensive training program.

HSCC is a 24/7 service and this role requires shift working from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week including bank holidays. There are salary enhancements for weekend and bank holiday working.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
