Children’s social care staff: a call for workers

Have you previously worked in Children’s Services as a social worker and have either left the profession or retired and want to help?

As with all keyworker services in the current coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, social workers are under increasing pressure and it is likely that staff numbers will dramatically reduce due to illness and self-isolation.

Through this our vulnerable children and families still need the right kind of help put in place to make sure they are supported, safe and stable. If you feel you are able to provide this kind of support please contact us.

Who we’re looking for

We need:

  • Qualified social workers - if you have been fast tracked onto the Social Work register by Social Work England in the past few weeks or you have left but still have up to date registration.

Our offer to you

We will offer:

  • casual contract with flexible hours if needed
  • support, online training and supervision
  • access to IT equipment and tools to undertake the role.

How to apply

We will need to complete with you:

  • a short application form
  • an updated Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check – we can fast track the application for you
  • a reference, which can be done verbally.

If you are interested, please email our Children’s Services Recruitment Manager.
