Our ASYE
Unrivalled support
We know that support is a key factor when choosing where to begin your career. At East Sussex, it’s something you can rely on. Our Social Work Education Team will be with you every step of the way, helping you to be your very best throughout your training with us.
Unique to East Sussex, the team spans Adult Social Care & Health and Children’s Services, giving you the opportunity to mix with peers across different disciplines. With frequent supervision, reflective learning, protected caseloads and help and advice whenever you need it, you’ll benefit from unrivalled support while you hone your skills helping some of our county’s most vulnerable adults.
Career development
And after the ASYE programme, it doesn’t stop there. We take your learning and development seriously - recognising the need to provide support for Social Workers as you move into your second year. You'll be offered career development to match your goals, including:
- Continual Professional Development (CPD)
- mentoring opportunities
- Best Interest Assessor qualifications.
What’s more, some of the people in our leading roles founded their roots in our ASYE programme. We have graduates that are now supporting students and newly qualified social workers themselves – from senior practitioners to practice managers, the stretch is immense.
Being a social worker requires a set of simple qualities that you can really hone.
