Our ASYE
Unrivalled support
We know that support is a key factor when choosing where to begin your career. At East Sussex, it’s something you can rely on. Our Social Work Education Team will be with you every step of the way, helping you to be your very best throughout your training with us.
Unique to East Sussex, the team spans Adult Social Care & Health and Children’s Services, giving you the opportunity to mix with peers across different disciplines. You’ll receive frequent professional supervision sessions, reflective learning, protected caseload and advice whenever you need it. While benefitting from an unrivalled programme where you can hone your skills, working alongside adults who draw on our support and live within our beautiful county.
Career development
And after the ASYE programme, it doesn’t stop there. We take your learning and development seriously - recognising the need to provide support for Social Workers as you move into your second year. You'll be offered career development to match your goals, including:
- Continual Professional Development (CPD)
- mentoring opportunities
- Best Interest Assessor qualifications.
What’s more, some of the people in our leading roles founded their roots in our ASYE programme. We have graduates that are now supporting students and newly qualified social workers themselves – from senior practitioners to practice managers - the potential and stretch for ongoing learning is immense.
Being a social worker requires a set of simple qualities that you can really hone.
