About the Role
Carers Community Worker Role
This Post is for a period of two years, subject to funding.
The Association of Carers are seeking a professional, caring, enthusiastic and dedicated person to join their team as a Carers Community Worker.
This interesting role will suit an applicant who will be good at relating to a wide range of people.
The services that the Association of Carers currently provide throughout East Sussex include Respite with befriending, Computer help at home, Carers Lunch Club, Carers Wellbeing and Carers Companion service.
This role will cover the Wealden Eastbourne and Lewes predominately with the expectation that on some occasions the post holder maybe required to work in the whole of East Sussex.
The post holder will also support the Volunteer Manager in the recruitment of volunteers in the Eastbourne and Wealden area.
The role will also relieve the carer from their responsibilities by providing respite care that helps to reduce carer breakdown. Their will be no personal Care involved in the role.
Applicants will need to have access to a car and a full, clean driving license, they will also be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Travel expenses will be paid between Carers' homes.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
