About the Role

The Flood Risk Management Team is recruiting for a Flood Risk Technician. This appointment focuses on data management and the use of GIS in identifying and communicating local flood risk. It requires creativity in developing techniques to analyse and present flood risk management data for use by the team, public sector partners and developers.

In addition to this, the post holder will be required to manage the team’s data resource, provide support in public engagement and partnership projects/events and provide technical support to colleagues in the team.

Opportunities to work on local area studies such as surface water management plans, local flooding (section 19) investigations and related projects may also arise.
