Waste Team

During lockdown, all household waste recycling sites (‘tips’) remain open to the normal opening hours.

With social distancing measures in place, there may be delays and queues into the sites. Vans and vehicles over 2m high are permitted on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only. Van drivers must bring proof of address (driver’s licence or recent utility bill) and will be subject to new trade waste inspections. The re-use shops are closed during the remaining part of lockdown.

We manage and arrange the disposal of waste and recycling collected by the five borough and district councils in the county. We provide household waste recycling sites where householders can dispose of and recycle household waste. We monitor some former closed landfill sites in the county.

Please contact your Borough or District Council for all enquiries about your refuse and recycling collection service.
