Economic development and regeneration

We are working with businesses, councils and other key partner organisations to promote economic growth and jobs.

We belong to the East Sussex Strategic Partnership, which represents over 90 organisations across the county working together to sustain and improve the economy and quality of life in the local area. To find out more, see:

Every year a report goes to Cabinet about how we are reconciling policy and resources, national and local policy and financial context. You can read the most recent report below:

South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP)

Businesses, local government and other key organisations from East Sussex, Essex, Kent, Medway, Southend and Thurrock are part of the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP). The partnership’s main objective is to help business to grow and to create new jobs. Business drives the partnership, working with local government and the other key partners. SELEP focuses on actions that are more effectivly delivered through the partnership rather than the individual partner areas.
