Welcome to the Events programme for Older People's Day 2023
Events are being held throughout East Sussex, many being organised by Senior Forums, and I hope you can find one you would like to attend.
You do not need to be a member of a Forum; all are welcome, and you can bring along family and friends.
Please make sure to make a booking if needed as some locations have limited numbers. If you find you are then unable to attend, please let the organiser know as there may be a waiting list.
If you are not a member of a Forum have you thought about joining? We welcome anyone over 60 and I like to say we are a voice for older people in East Sussex.
Each Forum delegate meets with Adult Social Care and the NHS every two months where we are invited to give our comments and suggestions for new services that are being introduced. There is also an opportunity to comment on existing services.
There is no membership fee to belong to Seniors' Forums and we have groups in the following areas: Eastbourne, Hastings, Seaford, Wealden, Rother, Lewes, Meridian and Hastings Older People's Ethnic Group. All contact details can be found at the end of this booklet.
East Sussex Seniors would like to thank East Sussex County Council for their continued support for Older People's Day and the other groups that are putting on events. Huge thanks to the Forum members who organise, volunteer at events and help get the booklet to everybody in good time.
I hope whichever event you decide to attend you have an enjoyable time.
