East Sussex Business Survey

East Sussex Business Survey

The results of the East Sussex Business Survey provide a baseline assessment of business needs, issues and concerns in the county.

The most recent survey was conducted throughout November/December 2014 and published in June 2015. The survey of over 1000 local businesses was designed to identify trend movements and highlight significant changes from previous surveys. Its results will feed into strategic and operational planning carried out by East Sussex County Council and its key economic development partners, including the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (South East LEP) and the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS).

As well as an overall executive summary, the survey results are broken down into seven thematic reports on:

  • Employees
  • Markets and Business advice
  • Finance
  • Transport
  • Energy
  • Business accommodation
  • Skills
