Funding for SEN Support

1. SEN funding in early years settings

Nurseries and childminders can apply for extra funding for up to 15 hours per week to help them meet the needs of children with special educational needs, disabilities or complex medical needs as part of their SEN that may affect access to an early years education. This is called the Early Years Inclusion Support Fund (EYISF). If the child is known to ISEND Early Years Service and additional support required, they will already be discussed with the setting. However, if not known, the nursery or childminder should send the EYISF application form to the ISEND Early Years’ Service who will assess the child to see if they need extra funding.
