Work as a Children's Centre volunteer

Schools, nurseries and childminders are reopening. See Schools, children and families’ services.

Working with parents and children under 5 at a Children’s Centre is a chance to

  • learn new skills
  • feel part of the community
  • work as part of a team, and
  • boost your CV.

We can also give you a job reference after 6 months of volunteer work, after training.

Children’s Centre volunteers help:

  • run groups for children and families
  • taking part in community events
  • as an office admin volunteer
  • to set up, or be part of, a specialist group
  • help to deliver courses.

And they also support:

  • Health Clinics
  • front line staff
  • creches & nurseries
  • with more exciting bespoke roles to suit you!
