Supported lodgings

What are supported lodgings?
Supported lodgings are for young people aged 16 and above who are homeless or living in care. Our providers offer them chance to learn the skills they need to move successfully on to independence.
We believe that all young people have the right to thrive, no matter what their background or circumstance.
Supporting the invaluable efforts of our supported lodgings providers is one of our top priorities. We are with you every step of the way with training and our supervision team, and a 24-hour advice line 7 days a week. That’s because we know what a huge difference a loving home can make to a vulnerable young person.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for people who:
- want to help young people become independent by providing a safe place to live and the chance to develop the skills they'll need.
- are emotionally strong, non-judgemental and not easily shocked. The young people we support come from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds.
Virtual and face-to-face information events
The team are available to talk to you and answer your questions on video calls at virtual information events. We also hold 'Vinnie the Van' travelling information days at locations around East Sussex:
