Services and activities

FREE activities to support your child’s learning and development 

  • Early Years Play and Learn sessions -  for families with children under-five with concerns about development in the prime areas such as play and interactions.
  • Small Beginnings - a group for families concerned about their child’s development in communication, interactions and / or play skills.

FREE drop-in activities (Sidley Family Hub)

  • Girl's Group: for ages 10 to 16
    Mondays, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Stay and Play
    Tuesdays, 9:45am-10:45am
  • Next Steps baby group: for ages 6 months to 2 years
    Thursdays, 9:30am-11:00am
  • Soundworks SEND music group: for ages 5 to 19
    Thursdays, 3:00pm - 4:15pm
  • SAYPH Hub: for ages 11 to 16
    Thursdays, 3:00pm - 5:00pm
  • Bexhill baby group: for under 12 months
    Fridays, 10:00am-11:30am
  • After school club: for Reception to Year 6
    Fridays, 3:15pm - 5:00 pm 
  • Owlets (Autism and speech delay group)
    Last Friday of the month, 9:45am - 11:30 am
  • Dads drop-in group
    Last Saturday of the month, 9:30am - 11:00am

  • Family First Aid (Virtual)
  • Parent and Child Signing (Virtual)
  • Family First Aid (with creche) – 3-week course

Free antenatal support is available for all first-time parents across East Sussex.

Who is my Health Visiting team, and how do I contact them?

You can also speak to your Early Years Setting (or nursery) about speech and language concerns. They can talk to you about early communication support.
