Young people aged 13 to 19 are being encouraged to take part in an exciting project to create a video in this year's summer music and film project.
Over four days the young people will get the chance to let their imaginations run free as they put together the film on the theme of “Alien Abduction”.
The event kicks off on Tuesday 24 August and each day the activities start at 11am and finish at 3pm. Day one will be devoted to creating musical instruments from recycled products which will then be used to make the music for the video.
On day two, Wednesday 25 August, the focus will switch to costume and set design as well as script-writing. Thursday, day three, will be videoing day and on Friday 27 August, the young people will get the chance to edit the final version.
The Archery Centre runs a music project for young people every summer and this year decided to combine video and film with music at the suggestion of the young people.
Anyone interested in taking part either in the whole week or just part of it can simply turn up on the day. However, organisers would prefer it if they rang the centre in advance on 01323 646591 so they have a better idea of numbers likely to attend. More information about the project is also available on that telephone number.
