‘Exploring East Sussex' is available now and gives details of the many events between May and September looking at local landscape, wildlife and history. Most of the walks are led and arranged by volunteers and it is hoped that the programme will encourage more people to get out and about, enjoy the countryside and improve their health.
Councillor Matthew Lock, Lead Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment said: "This new leaflet is a must for anyone wanting to explore our county on foot. From visiting breweries to trapping moths there is something to appeal to everyone, regardless of their age or interests."
The Exploring East Sussex programme can be picked up from all East Sussex libraries, tourist information centres and Council offices and many other public outlets.
A separate programme of guided cycle rides called ‘Cycling East Sussex' is also available from East Sussex libraries and tourist information centres.
Both programmes can be found in our Discover East Sussex section.
