Preliminary GCSE results announced on 21 August, showed the seventh consecutive year of improvement across the county with 14 schools reaching their best ever results. This year’s results also saw the highest rate of improvement in one year in both 5+ A* - C grades and 5+ A*-C grades including English and mathematics.
