The trail is marked by posts featuring 'Dizzy the Ditchling Dragonfly' and has been designed to open up the park so visitors can see habitats from open water to mature woodland. It will be officially launched by Rupert Clubb, the new Director of Transport & Environment at East Sussex County Council.
The day will feature countryside rangers leading fun activities along the trail including a dragonfly hunt, and making willow stars and dragonfly models. Environment Agency Officers will be teaching youngsters how to fish and there will be an opportunity to try 'pond dipping' where children can catch tadpoles, newts and other pond creatures in nets and find out more from the rangers.
