Your generation photography competition

Wednesday 27 June 2007

People with a passion for photography will be interested in a competition being run by East Sussex County Council.

‘Your generation through your eyes’ is the theme of the 2007 County Council photography competition.

The Council wants people to take photos of their own age group. It could be a five year old at play, teenagers hanging out with friends, university or college students, work colleagues on the mid-life treadmill or older people with a greater perspective of life. Whatever the picture, the competition is about showing your generation through your camera lens.

The competition has two categories – 18 years and over, and under 18. Enter and win up to £145 worth of prizes and photography supplies kindly donated by Black and White Magazine, Photoworks Magazine, onlinepaper.co.uk (Hartfield), Bexhill Photographic and HA Baker Photographic (Lewes).

Winning photographs in both categories together with a selection of the best of the rest will appear on our website.

Residents who believe they could be the next David Bailey have three months to get that winning shot which could lead to the top prize. Deadline for entries is Friday 28 September 2007.

For more information about the competition, how to enter and terms and conditions, telephone 01273 481743.
