ParkLive is an initiative of the Youth Development Service at East Sussex County Council and is quickly becoming a platform for new young talent in the South East of England having previously featured young stars such as Knoxbridge, Paranoia, Floor Crusaders, Respond, Jane Doe, and The Five 40s.
ParkLive is aimed to appeal to families from all over Hastings and Rother. Alongside the music there will be other attractions including a bouncy castle, face painting, street performers, balloon modeling and much more.
This year, the Youth Development Service commissioned Respond, a voluntary youth group based in Hastings who have been involved with previous ParkLive events, to develop ‘ParkLive 07’ in conjunction with the Hastings Beer and Music Festival.
Ben Wyatt, of the council’s Youth Development Service, said: “This event is a fantastic opportunity for young people to go on a big stage. A diverse range of acts have been selected to cater for different tastes of music, including rock, pop, indie and original compositions by young people themselves, and the acts are all aged below 25 years. All the indications are that it’s going to be an even bigger success than previous years.”
Tickets cost £3.00 per person, or a family ticket is £10.00 for 2 adults and 2 children (plus £1 for each additional child). A group discount of 20% is available for orders of 25 tickets or more. Phone 01424 718235 to order group bookings of tickets. Single and family tickets are available from Hastings Information Centre in Queen’s Square, Connections one-stop shop in Cambridge Road, or on the door.
