County Council Chairman John Barnes has congratulated Sam Brasier, Claire Crouch, Sara Jones and Bryn Thomas after they took part in the Young Local Authority of the Year competition.
The competition is one in a series run by Leaders of Tomorrow and is aimed at employees in the early stages of their career. Sara and Bryn were runners up in the County Council category and fourth overall with Claire and Sam sixth overall out of 44 teams from across the UK.
The team members are evaluated on their presentation and management skills during the competition and the East Sussex team was highly praised by the judging panel and their fellow competitors.
Chairman John Barnes said: “This year East Sussex County Council was the most successful over the total series showing the depth of talent that we have across the Council. Our young staff gave an outstanding performance at the event and the whole experience has been an excellent development opportunity for all the participants. I would like to congratulate our staff on their success.”
Finance Manager, Sam Brasier and Environment Officer, Sara Jones both work in the Council’s Transport & Environment Department. Claire Crouch is a Training and Development Consultant in the Chief Executive’s Department and Bryn Thomas is a Project Officer in the Corporate Resources Directorate.
