More than 130 carers attended the informal “thank you” dinner at the East Sussex National Golf Resort near Uckfield on Friday (March 23).
All carers who work with East Sussex County Council’s fostering team and the Children’s Disability Short Break and Fostering Service were invited to the evening which is one of a number of different events held during the year to recognise their contribution.
After the event Councillor Meg Stroude, Lead Cabinet Member for Children and Families said: “This was simply an informal evening to say thank you to carers who show enormous dedication and commitment to helping and supporting young people. The young people think they are fantastic, we think they are fantastic, and we want them to know it.”
