East Sussex County Council’s Youth Development Service (YDS) are running a range of activities in their youth clubs and out and about in during the school holidays. Activities on offer will include sports events, and arts, crafts and music activities at local youth clubs. All are free and any young people aged from 11+ are welcome to join in.
The PULSE Health Bus will also be out and about offering advice, support and information on a range of health issues, including healthy eating, smoking, sexual health and mental well being.
The programme of activities starts from Friday 28th July and runs until Friday 1st September. The programme is funded by East Sussex County Council, Positive Futures, PULSE, Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, Greater Hollington Partnership, Ore Valley Forum and Positive Activities for Young People.
YDS staff will be on hand at all the planned activities – you can recognise them by their YDS t-shirts and purple fleeces.
A Positive Futures five-a-side Football tournament at The Grove School on Thursday 24 August will be a highlight. Teams are invited to come along from 9.45am. Other players can also join in by contacting Mark Straughan on 07974 579858 – he will be able to introduce other young people also trying to get a full team together.
If you have any questions about the programme, please phone Ben Wyatt on 01424 728368.
