Uckfield Library will be redecorated, completely re-carpeted and will have a new counter installed. The library layout is also being changed to make it more modern and attractive. In order for this work to take place the library will be closed from Thursday 9 March until Monday 27 March 2006.
Langney Library, based in The Shopping Centre, Kingfisher Drive, Eastbourne is being redecorated and having improved lighting installed. For customer safety the library will be closing from 2pm on Saturday 11 March and re-opening on Thursday 16 March.
Willingdon Library, in Coppice Avenue, Lower Willingdon is having essential heating and electrical maintenance work. It will be closed from Monday 27 March until Saturday 22 April. Library users will be able to borrow extra items in the period leading up to the closure. In addition Polegate library will open each Wednesday during the closure at Willingdon, from 9.30am until 1pm and from 2pm until 5pm on 29 March, 5 April, 12 April and 19 April.
These extra opening hours reflect the fact that Willingdon is usually open on a Wednesday. Once the work at Willingdon has been completed, Polegate Library will revert to its normal opening hours.
