Help Pevensey Bay Library celebrate its 40th Anniversary

Wednesday 22 February 2006

Library staff at Pevensey Bay are collecting local residents’ memories of how the library and surrounding area has changed over the last 40 years for a display at their Open Day on Saturday 25 March.

People can write down their memories in a special book at the library, or bring in old photos of the area for staff to copy.

The Open Day will take place from 10am – 4pm. As well as the special memory book, there will be scrapbooks, photos and press cuttings to pore over from the library's local studies collection.

Children will be entertained by special events throughout the day including a puppet show and badge making.

The Open Day will coincide with the Pevensey Community Action Group’s (PCAG) Vintage Vehicle Rally and various village events.
