Nappy days are here again…

Tuesday 30 August 2005

Nappy days are here again for the team that promotes the use of reusable nappies to the people of East Sussex.

Their campaign to raise awareness of washable nappies during the recent Real Nappy Week has put them in line for a top national award.

During the week, members of the Brighton & Hove and East Sussex Real Nappy Network attended numerous local events to hammer home the message that parents could save hundreds of pounds, and cut their weekly rubbish pile by 50 per cent, by switching from disposable to reusable nappies.

Their work has caught the eye of the judges of an award, sponsored by the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP), to recognise and reward the best campaign.

If they go on to win, they will receive a cash prize which would be used to further promote the use of real nappies.

To find out more about washable nappies, visit the Nappy Network’s website at www.nappies.org or phone the Nappy Promotions Team on 01273 482242.
