Fiona Wright to be interim headteacher at Seaford Head

Fiona Wright, currently headteacher at Peacehaven Community School, is to be the interim headteacher at Seaford Head Community College and will start work on Monday 6 June 2005.

Denise Stokoe, Director of Children’s Services at East Sussex County Council, said: ‘We are delighted that Fiona Wright has agreed to take up the post of executive principal of Seaford Head Community College until a permanent appointment is made.

"Fiona is a very experienced and successful headteacher. Prior to taking up her post at Peacehaven she was the headteacher of Eastbourne Technology College. Her present school has just received an outstanding Ofsted inspection report.”

Roger Case, Chair of Governors at Seaford Head said: "I am thrilled that such an experienced and talented professional is going to lead Seaford Head at this crucial time. I am confident Fiona Wright will continue to build on the progress made and that she will work well with our senior leadership team and all the staff.”

Finally, Denise Stokoe confirmed that the Children’s Services Authority has every confidence in the ability of the senior leadership team, governing body and the staff of Seaford Head to continue to take the college forward and make very good progress in the quality of education provided.
