Changes to County Council electoral arrangements
The number of voters represented by each county councillor should be roughly the same in every electoral division. Because resident numbers change, electoral arrangements are regularly reviewed by The Boundary Committee for England to make sure voters are fairly represented.
Since May 2005 East Sussex County Council has had 49 councillors, serving 44 divisions. Details of historic changes are explained in detail on the Boundary Committee website.
