Have your say – Changes to Rider bus services in Lewes, Newhaven and Seaford

We asked for your views on our plans to change some of our Rider bus services. These are mostly in the Lewes, Newhaven and Seaford areas.

You can read details of the proposed changes, plus timetables for some services, in the documents below.

The closing date for comments was 3 February 2012.

Background information

Following a decision by bus operator Renown to terminate certain bus contracts, we had to review some of our Rider services.

We looked at the current use of these bus services to help us plan for replacements. With budget limitations and rising costs affecting all bus operators, we looked at reducing some services and improving others.

Who could take part?

We wanted to hear from anyone who uses Rider bus services in these areas.

What happens next

We took your views into account while developing the final timetables. The revised services came into effect from 22 April 2012, following a tendering process.
