On 18 January 2011 East Sussex County Council's Lead Member for Learning and School Effectiveness approved the publication of statutory notices relating to the proposal to expand The Haven Voluntary Aided CE/Methodist Primary School.
The proposal is to expand the school from one form of entry to two forms of entry. This will increase its Published Admission Number from 30 to 60 from September 2012, and its number on roll gradually from 210 to 420.
This followed a period of consultation which closed on 13 December 2010.
On 4 February 2011 the Council published a statutory notice proposing the enlargement of the premises of The Haven Voluntary Aided CE/Methodist Primary School. This would increase the school's capacity from 210 to 420 by September 2013.
You can make comments on this proposal during a four week period from 4 February 2011. You can download the statutory notice and full proposal below.
What happens next
The Council will determine the notice within two months of the end of the four week period. This will follow notification from the governing body as to whether they continue to support the proposed expansion.
If the Council fails to determine the notice within two months of the end of the four week period, the Council will pass all relevant material to the Schools Adjudicator who will determine the notice.
