What standards do you expect from Adult Social Care?

This consultation closed on 30 March 2010.

In East Sussex, we want to provide high quality services that meet the needs of everyone who uses them. Our new leaflet contains statements, setting out what you can expect from Adult Social Care.

You may be someone who uses services within Adult Social Care or you may be a carer of someone with adults social care needs. You could be a member of the public who is interested in the standards that we set. In any case, we asked for your views on this document.

The standards in the leaflet link back to the Performance Assessment Framework for Social Care which is a set of performance indicators that services are compared to. This means that quality is defined and measured against what you can expect from Adult Social Care.

What we wanted to know

We asked you to have your say by sending us your comments under the following question headings:

  • What do you think about what the leaflet looks like?
  • Where do you think you would likely pick this leaflet up?
  • Thinking about what is written in the leaflet (the standards statements), how easy or difficult are they to understand? You can comment on individual statements in the leaflet, if you want.
  • Is there anything about the way the statements are phrased that you wish to comment on?
  • Is there anything you feel we have missed out or we could improve?
  • Have we got the contact information right?

What happens next

This consultation is now closed and we will be publishing our results here in August 2010.
