Draft Freight Strategy

The freight industry is key to the transportation of goods and services in the county. We wanted to find out what you think about our draft Freight Strategy and how we plan to address freight issues in East Sussex.

Who took part?

We wanted to hear the views of as many people as possible, including local residents, businesses and anyone interested in shaping the future of freight transportation in East Sussex. Your views will help us find out what people think about the vision we have for the county and how we plan to achieve this.

Background information

The draft Freight Strategy aims to identify and resolve freight issues in the county and look at ways to make freight transportation more sustainable. This strategy has been updated alongside the draft Local Transport Plan 2011–2026 (LTP3) and the draft Community Transport Strategy.

This consultation closed on 4 January 2011.

What happens next

Your responses will be considered and will be used to shape the final document which will be published in April 2011.
