Have your say on childcare in East Sussex

We asked residents to take part in a survey to help us shape the childcare options on offer in the county.

Who could take part?

We invited parents and carers of children aged up to 5 to tell us about their current and future childcare requirements, so that we can provide better services.

Background information

We've run similar surveys in the last two years:

Taking part

The deadline for responses was 30 June 2010.

You can still download a copy of the survey below, for reference purposes.

The survey asked questions about the childcare you use during term time and school holidays, as well as what your future childcare needs will be.

Some of you were sent the survey through the post – if:

  • you were registered with your local children's centre
  • you receive the Early Years Educational Entitlement from your childcare provider.

You could also also ask for a copy of the survey from your local children's centre or from your childcare provider if they provide EYEE.

The information supplied is treated as confidential. It will only be used to improve childcare services.

What happens next

We've prepared detailed reports of the findings across the county, by age group, area and supplier:

What will happen as a result of this consultation

We'll let you know what decisions have been made in the light of the responses we receive, and what steps are being taken to make any changes which are agreed.
