Sutton Corner, Seaford – junction improvements

We asked for your comments about our proposals to improve safety and traffic flow along the A259 at Sutton Corner, Seaford.

The proposals included:

  • equal priority for traffic from all directions
  • reduced speed limits
  • better accessibility for buses outside Newlands School
  • a zebra crossing and improved street lighting.

These priorities were identified as part of the Seaford Local Area Transport Strategy.

The plans were previously displayed at an exhibition at the Downs Leisure Centre, Seaford.

What has happened as a result of this consultation

As a result of your feedback some changes were made to the scheme. The scheme was built in July 2010 using external funding.
