Kingston Parish Council proposed a scheme to reduce the speed limits in Kingston village. On behalf of the Parish Council, we asked for your comments on the proposals, including:
- a new 20mph zone along Wellgreen Lane and Ashcombe Lane, including speed cushions, flat top road humps and narrowed entrances to the new zone
- a new 20mph limit in The Street
- an extension of the 30mph limit in Ashcombe Lane to the north of Kingston Ridge.
Construction of the scheme
The scheme was completed in summer 2009.
Consultation results
A summary of the responses to this consultation were reported at the meeting of Lead Member for Transport & Environment – 23 March 2009.
Public meeting and viewing the plans
A public meeting to discuss the scheme was held at the Parish Hall, Kingston in January 2009.
