What you told us

  • 100 questionnaires were returned
  • 82 supported the proposals
  • 12 opposed them
  • 5 had no view.

There was opposition from the local member and an objection from the organiser of the Hastings Marathon.

What will happen as a result of this consultation

We have agreed to change the original scheme to a Local Safety Scheme in the location with the worst crash problem.

Actions taken

As direct result of the cuts in government spending the Local Safety Scheme was temporarily put on hold, but we now plan to start work on it in early September 2011.

You can view a plan of the revised scheme below.
