In May 2009, we produced new versions of our public information leaflets and factsheets that tell people about Adult Social Care, and the kind of support we can offer.
In these new publications we aim to provide simple, easy to understand information about our services, charges and how to make a comment, compliment or complaint.
Now that they've been in use for a while, we wanted to know what's good and what's not, and if we need to make further improvements in the next edition.
What you told us
We have now completed our analysis of what you told us, both via the questionnaire (completed by 18 people or organisations) and relevant meetings that we attended.
Both the completed questionnaires and comments gathered showed that the design of the leaflets, in other words the photograph on each front cover and the photographs inside the leaflets, were the biggest issue. There were also quite a few comments and suggestions on translations and other versions of the leaflet.
What happened as a result of this consultation
The report below titled ‘Information Leaflets feedback report – April 2010' sets out in detail what was said by respondents and the actions we are taking as a result.
We have merged two leaflets into a single 'Who are we and how can we help you?' summary, so there are now three main leaflets instead of four. We have made these available in 200 locations across the county.
‘Easy read' versions will be developed and published later in the year.
