Background information

This consultation asked for your views on our proposed arrangements for admissions to primary and secondary schools in 2010-11. This was to ensure we meet the needs of all parents and children.

Every local authority will consult annually with residents, schools and neighbouring authorities about their plans for future school admissions.

The proposed admissions numbers for all schools and other important details are available on the Czone website:

We asked for comments on:

  • the primary and secondary coordinated admission schemes
  • the general admissions criteria, including the tie-breaker criteria for over-subscribed schools
  • admissions numbers for each school
  • any other aspect of the proposed arrangements.

Voluntary aided (church) schools admission arrangements

Voluntary aided schools were required to consult on their own individual arrangements. Find out more about Voluntary aided school admission arrangements for 2010-11.
